Conducting a Literature Review

Knowing how to conduct a literature review using effective search strategies is one of the core skills required for researchers across disciplines. This session will be divided into three sections designed for students in the Humanities, the Behavioral and Social Sciences, and the STEM disciplines to learn how to locate and search relevant information from databases and journals, track citations, and keep current with the literature.

 

Stress Management (FSU Counseling Center)

11:15 am-12:15 pm
The presentation will provide healthy strategies for the management of stress/anxiety. Particular emphasis will be placed on providing tips for students who are writing a prospectus/dissertation. Information about the University Counseling Center and other helpful resources will also be provided.

Citation Success: Tools for Managing Your Sources

1:00-2:00 pm
This session will feature tools for gathering and managing your citations. Refworks, Zotero, and EndNote Web help save time at every stage of your research process by collecting and organizing citations and generating bibliographies. Browzine allows you to keep up with the current scholarship in your area.
